I'm thinking she has to be African American. It's only fair. We've had Lindsey (Jewish), Kailey (image of blonde all-American California girl), Marisol (Hispanic) and now Jess is half-Asian.

In my mind I look forward to an A/A doll joining the LE ranks. I like that they are so far all so different from each other. I'm very curious as to what her storyline will be.

    Your thoughts?

Knowing Mattel, she'd be half AA/medium skinned, but that sounds likely.

This sounds very likely, and I'd be very interested to see who she was. I'd love to see a A/A doll. I still want a REAL Irish doll though, with red, curly hair and green eyes. But there's already Nellie and Felicity, so they won't go for that. If I can't have that, a hindu doll would be really cool.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the next LE doll to be released, and I'm expecting (and looking forward to ) an AA dolly ! I wonder what she will look like...Each LE has been completely different from any other doll so far, so I would imagine she wouldn't look too much like Addy or the AA AGT's. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see an AA doll with blue eyes! GORGEOUS! The thing that worries me is that I remember someone posting (when there was talk of this year's (next) LE and we had no clue who she was) that their friend, who was a member of the AG Forum, saw a pic of the next LE (2007), and was disappointed. Well, I still can't wait to see her . But what I'm really looking forward to is the release of my bright redhead with medium-length slightly wavy hair, wispy bangs (like Nellie's), hazel eyes, and freckles !

I would go nuts if a doll of middle eastern heritage would show up dressed in a sari.. that would be my ultimate dream AG.

YES--they need a Middle Eastern or Indian girl (from India)!

An African-American girl would fit as well, but I don't see how she could be cuter than 26.

Whoa! Ladies, ladies, ladies! Just a minute here.....uh...why are we talikng about an LE in 2007??? I nearly "died" when I realized AG introduced another LE within a year from Marisol...hint hint$$$$$...

ODG if they decide to introduce an LE yearly... that would mean that I have to buy one every year. I sincerly hope Jess in a special 20 year LE and they go back to introducing LE dollies by-yearly.

I'd go nuts for an Indian-American LE, too! I've been dreaming of one for so long. But then again, I think we need an AA LE...especially one with cornrows in her hair and no bangs! Not that I need another one...

I'm trying to stop collecting LEs since I have two already, but I'll have to get an Indian LE if they make one!

Prasnlrd, I think that was the intention all along...to introduce a LE every year.

The Mattel press release about Kailey reads:

"The Kailey product will only be available while supplies last or until the end of 2004, when she'll be replaced by the next contemporary character who reflects the interests and activities of girls today."

The press release from Lindsey says in part:

"As the first in an annual series of American Girl Today fictional characters, Lindsey is only available while supplies last or until the end of 2002, when she?ll be replaced by a new Girl of Today with her own special story to tell."

Kailey was released July, 2004 at the stores. I've never read why there was a gap between Lindsey and Kailey.

I wonder why the LE AGTs have been coming out every year since 2004, shouldn't it have been every year since 2001? For example, there should have been a 2002 LE AGT doll after Lindsey was released, but instead Kailey came out two years later.
